Student Spotlight Eleventh grader Cleo Kinsella has been part of the GHS community since age 2. She says she likes the small class sizes and that she knows everyone. “It’s good how the teachers are there for you when you need help,” Cleo says. “They make time for you.” Eleventh grade advisor Mr. D. says Cleo is an “unquestioned leader” in her class. “She has her finger on the pulse of what’s going on and she sees to it that what needs to be done gets done,” says Mr.

Barracuda Bulletin: Week of January 9, 2026
Student Spotlight Pre-K student Nicholas Thomas has been part of the GHS community since he joined our toddler program. “Niko brings an exciting, joyful energy to our classroom,” says Pre-K teacher Ms. Kiki. “He is a friend to everyone.” Nicholas says he likes reading books and playing with monster trucks at school. He enjoys the time his class spends with their second grade buddies. Nicholas also likes playing with Play-Doh and Legos and doing color by number puzzles.

Teacher Spotlight Veronica Pozas, or Ms. V. as she’s known to her students, has been part of the GHS community since 2013. She teaches math and Farm to Table at our Upper Campus. “She is always available to our students,” Upper Campus Principal Ms. McGuire says of Ms. V. “She is consistently growing and progressing as a teacher. She loves to collaborate.” Eibony Torres Cordero, ‘26, says Ms. V. encouraged her to challenge herself by taking AP precalculus this year. “
