Gifts to the invested endowment generate new income year after year. Annual draws of no more than 5% from this managed fund support GHS operations, financial aid, faculty salaries, professional development, and other areas of greatest need. A healthy endowment is vital for the school's long-term stability.

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Endowing a scholarship in your name or in the name of a loved one ensures that GHS can accept and retain bright and deserving students no matter their financial circumstances. A named scholarship can be created with a gift of $100,000 or more. Annual draws of no more than 5% are taken from the endowed funds to support tuition scholarships.

Ways to Give
RETIREMENT PLAN & IRAS
​A retirement plan, such as an IRA, can be a smart source for charitable giving. If you are 70½ years or older, an IRA charitable rollover gift allows you to direct up to $100,000 tax-free to GHS each year from your traditional IRA, which satisfies your required minimum distribution and reduces your taxable income. Contact your IRA custodian to request a direct distribution to Gifft Hill School. Married taxpayers who meet QCD requirements and file joint returns can donate $100,000 from each spouse’s IRA, for a total of $200,000 annually.
DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are very effective charitable giving vehicles whereby donors set aside money to be granted to charitable organizations. You can support GHS through a DAF grant. When processing a DAF grant through a charitable giving account, search for Gifft Hill School by tax ID number (66-0567902). Give now through your DAF account at Fidelity Charitable, BNY Mellon, or Schwab Charitable by clicking the button below.
