Early Learning Center Teacher

Gifft Hill School in beautiful St. John, USVI is looking for a dedicated Preschool Teacher who can live our mission and vision of providing an experientially-based program that supports students with a range of learning styles and readiness levels within a climate that fosters a love of learning, mutual respect, and the importance of personal responsibility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children ranging in age from 2-5 years in a group setting using positive, proactive classroom management strategies and will show a high degree of initiative and willingness to learn new strategies while partnering with a teaching assistant. S/he should enjoy working with children and collaborating with colleagues and specialists. With the island as our classroom, individuals who seek to build a school community rich in daily experiences of discovery, and who can model adaptability and teamwork for their students will be a wonderful match to this position.
