Elementary School
Our summer reading selections this year are sure to ignite your child’s imagination! The
teachers at GHS have selected books based on the genre of fantasy for each child to read
over the summer. Research has shown that reading at least 6 books over the summer will help
your child avoid losing those reading skills they developed over the school year. Please have
your child read or read with your child the selected book as well as at least 5 additional titles
over the summer months. Record those books on the GHS Summer Reading log and return to
school at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year.
